Meet Michelle Herbst, DPT, 500-RYT specializing in SomaYoga
Michelle is an Iowa native and a lifelong student with a passion for moving well and savoring the ordinary yet beautiful moments of life. Over the years, she has worn many hats with devotion as a physical therapist, yoga instructor, wife, stay-at-home mom and friend. Life has had many twists and turns but Michelle has remained committed to gently guiding herself and others to finding their own path of healthy movement and hopeful living.
Michelle practiced as a physical therapist for over a decade. She left practice to become a full time mom and volunteered in many different capacities. In 2015, Michelle earned her 200-HR RYT certification and shortly after in 2017 she took her first yoga intensive with the Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute. Michelle delighted in the discovery of SomaYoga as the practices felt nourishing. She quickly started blending SomaYoga into her own practice and teaching style. In 2024, Michelle completed her training as an advanced SomaYoga teacher through Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute earning her 500 hr RYT certification.
When Michelle isn’t on her mat, she enjoys time with husband, her two nearly launched sons, her daily dog walks and guiding herself and others through the nourishing practices of SomaYoga.
